When I was little, I loved helping my mom bake. As I got older I started to surprise friends with lockers full of cookies and other homemade treats. Even though my brother didn't have that much of a sweet tooth, he would always take chocolate chip cookies whenever I made them. I eventually decided to go to culinary school where I was able to learn all about the science behind baking. After meeting more and more people with dietary restrictions, I realized that everyone has a favorite cookie. However there was a sad lack of satisfying cookies fit for these restrictions. By combining my lifelong love of baking cookies and my knowledge of baking science I am able to create delicious cookies regardless of diet. Everyone deserves a cookie!
CaliCo Cookies makes every attempt to source quality ingredients from local vendors and small businesses in the production of our cookies. The organic all-purpose flour we use for the conventional cookies and organic oat flour used in the gluten-free cookies come from Fairhaven Mill in Burlington, WA. Our hazelnut flour and hazelnuts come from Holmquist Hazelnuts in Lynden, WA.
